Have you ever heard of a pregnant man?!

Well, now today it might be possible due to advanced technologies but back in 1999? No, right?

Meet Sanju Bhagat- ‘The Pregnant Man From India’.

Only at 2 year old, he showcased the most visible sign of pregnancy that is a very big stomach. As he grew old, so did his stomach. The villagers would always tease him that he looked nine months pregnant. In June of 1999 when Sanju was 36 years old the growing stomach made it difficult for him to breathe and so he was immediately rushed to a hospital for a surgery.

Doctors thought it might be a case of tumor. Little did they know what was next to follow! During the surgery, the doctor said he could feel a lot of bones inside, then a limb came out and then did the whole mutated body of a fetus. The doctors could not believe their eyes.

Doctors found that Sanju Bhagat suffered from one of the world’s most bizarre medical conditions- fetus in fetu. It is an extremely rare abnormality disorder, which occurs when a fetus gets trapped inside its twin. so, Bhagat was carrying his twin in his body for 36 years!

Since Bhagat did not have placenta(naturally), the growth had connected directly to his blood supply.The trapped fetus survived as a parasite even after the host’s birth by forming an umbilical cord-like structure that leached to Bhagat’s blood supply until it grows so large that it starts to harm the host, at which point doctors usually intervene. Normally, both twins die but in Bhagat’s case he lived with his own parasitic twin.

Right after the surgery, Bhagat’s pain and inability to breathe disappeared and he recovered immediately. His weight reduced considerably. He now lives a normal life.

But the whole world would now remember him as the “Pregnant man of India”.

Largest Snakes in History Humans have an innate fear of snakes. Ophidiophobia is one of the most common phobias in the world, and studies have shown that most primates are genetically wired to detect snakes rapidly. Prehistory is writhing with snakes, but not just little ones - some were true giants. Everyone talks about  Titanoboa cerrejonensis.  I tend to refrain from writing about famous, popular fossil taxa, but it would be wrong to exclude it from this answer. So,  Titanoboa  was 12.8 metres long, a ton in weight, and commonly cited as the largest snake in history. To at least bring something new to the table, I should mention that  studies  have suggested that  Titanoboa  was more of a piscivore (fish-eater) than a megafauna-killer.
