Antilia(world’s biggest and most expensive house)
With a net worth of roughly $49 billion, Mukesh Ambani was named the richest person in India in 2018. The oil and gas tycoon can also boast about owning the world’s largest and most expensive private residence. The net worth of Antilia is about 2 billion US dollars.
Some facts :-
- The 400,000-square foot is 27 stories, high, but since some ceilings are double-height, it's closer to the size of a 50-story building(approx).
- Antilia contains a multi-story garage with space for 168 cars. It has not one, not two. But three helipads on the roof, in case you prefer to arrive by air.
- The lobby alone has nine elevators(it’s super-fast too).
- It is equipped with a 2-storey recreation center which boasts of a gym, a health spa, multiple swimming pools, separate yoga and dance studio among several other amenities. This blueprint shows the 2-story recreation center. (they have a separate room for doing yoga too, Seriously? )
- It also has a ballroom, guest suites, a salon, an ice-cream parlor and a theater that seats 50.
- A month’s electricity bill is about Rs70 lakhs (almost $100,000).
- It reportedly takes a staff of 600 to maintain the world’s most expensive home.
- It also has a snow room (artificial snowflakes are pumped into it all the time)
- Family’s living quarters are on the top floors. Why on top floors? because they wanted sunlight.
- The house is named after a mythical island in the Atlantic Ocean.
- It also has its own hanging garden that apart from adding a colorful splendor also save energy and keep the interiors of the house cool.
- Every floor is unique (While the motifs of the sun and the lotus are consistent through the structure in rare materials like crystal, marble and mother-of-pearl, no two floors in the Antilia are said to be alike - whether in design or in materials used.)
