The most Peaceful Day in New York
Of the 8 million known inhabitants (but estimates reach 10 million including undocumented persons and undisclosed movers), not a single soul reported shot, stabbed, or slashed in the bustling metropolis of New York City in the 24 hour window of time on November 28, 2012. Interestingly enough, 20 years preceding this point in time, the daily murder rate had climbed to 6 murders every day. The following day, New York City celebrated their first nonviolent day in the city’s history. Nevertheless, let’s just say it didn’t pan out as smoothly as the day prior.
